Tripod schmipod
I got these for high power binoculars for stargazing. Not too good for this purpose as the pan function doesn't lock tight enough to prevent the field of view wandering. May be okay for a lightweight camera I suppose. One good thing is that they can hold the binoculars quite high off the ground; essential if you are looking at objects high in the skt
