Not use step-up adapter for ultra wide angle lens
Just tell you about my experience:I bought a 82mm variable ND filter + step-up adapter for 55mm ultra wide angle Canon EF M 11-22.It’s a good lens but I just to list my issue under my condition:1) There are black shadows on the edge of photo for wide angle.2) Too heavy for a camera gimbal to get balance.3) There is no locking point for adjust lens. There will be black cross show up in lens after Max point.I know buy one 82mm ND filter plus step-up adaptor could be economic way. But I prefer to buy right ND filter for the right lens.
