Caught on Camera
We have something leaving deposits on the steps of our back deck plus drinking the sugar water from our hummingbird feeders leaving a sugary mess all over the deck. Our neighbors have a camera set up to a tree and said they saw a family of 3 raccoons sometimes up to 5, so we set up a trap with the recommended marshmallows. The next morning we caught a very large raccoon. We reset the trap for the following nights and caught another one. We decided to buy this camera to see if we could catch them in the act. We bought it with Amazon Prime service. The camera was easy to order and arrived quickly. For the price it is very affordable and rugged. It was very easy to set up. If you still have a problem, Amazon has a video on it's website reviewing and how to set up the T70 at the bottom of the page by UBDOG -- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CPZ35B3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Campark T70 Trail Camera. Even this technologically challenged septuagenarian was able to set it up in a few minutes; it went through every step of the menu.A couple of nights ago we had another gift on the steps. We had the camera focusing on the trap, not on the steps. The next morning the marshmallows were missing out of the trap; but no raccoon. We checked the camera and found our little back deck chipmunk was able to run into the trap and get the marshmallows without setting it off. Now our new challenge is how to keep the chipmunk from stealing the marshmallows and capture the third raccoon. So glad we had the camera to figure out how the marshmallows were being stolen. Great little camera and with the reasonable price we may purchase another one to catch all the wildlife that lives with us in the woods that only appear at night.
