Video Recording Skips by 2 to 10 Seconds
I purchased two Campark T70s within several months of each other for security cams. Camera one started doing great, got it setup put outside to start recording and taking pictures and it did just that for several months till the batteries went dead. I get the camera bring it inside put on my shelf and it sits there for a few months till I get more batteries and the second Campark T70. Months later I get my second camera and a big box of batteries for both cameras. So now I get both cameras setup and ready to record and take pictures around the house. One day I leave the house and I get back and I noticed my ball and receiver is missing off the back of my truck. I figured I'll check my camera since the rear of the truck was facing camera one. I get the memory card out to check it and it only recorded for 5 days and stopped so it not record the person who stole my ball and receiver off my truck. Then I check camera two and it did the same thing it only recorded 5 days and stopped. I don't know why they stopped recording, the memory card wasn't full. Anyways, I cleared the memory cards put them back in the cameras and started recording video and pictures again. I checked the memory cards again after 5 days and camera 2 stopped recording after 4 days and camera one recorded almost 5 days. While I was watching video footage on camera 2 I noticed the timer would start to skip 2 seconds after the first 10 seconds of each video it recorded. It would skip 2 seconds then 5 to 7 seconds then 10 seconds. The video would play but you would not see the action but you could hear what was happening. Example, I could hear my wife open our front door and walk in to our house but I could not see it until several seconds later and then it was only snippet of it. I'm not sure why it's doing that or if it needs a software update. Will be contacting Campark to see if they can give me some answers on how to remedy this. If not then I'll try another trail camera brand.Other than those problems the cameras take good pictures and videos during the day, at night they do good if the animal or person ect.. is within 10 to 20 yards and you probably won't be able to make out the persons face if they are beyond 10 yards, you will see them but their face will be grainy and hard to make out, at least that has been my experience. I've recorded myself at night and check the footage and it was hard for me to make out my face. If you are looking to get this camera for security surveillance make sure you have enough lighting to help the camera make out that nefarious person snooping around your property I don't know how they compare to other trail camera brands, this is my first time using trail cameras so I don't know how they compare to others.
