When I bought this filter, I did not have really high expectation, as I only wanted a cheap ND filter to fulfill my photography need. Surprisingly this filter is actually quite good. I used it to take pictures of landscape and waterfalls, and the results were satisfactory. It has a low profile, and I am not able to see light distortion in my pictures. For the price it offers and the quality it provides, I recommend this filter.

Pour le prix, cet article fera très bien l'affaire pour commencer à étudier la longue exposition en photographie. Je n'ai pas vu de dégradation de l'image lors de la prise de photos. La lingette est pratique. Très bon rapport qualité/prix. Je le recommande.

For this price I didn't expect super high quality. It works OK, but at the higher levels of filtering the image will be anywhere from light purple to deep purple. The more moderate levels work as expected. I tested it on a normal sunny day, outdoor subject, setting 4 seconds. I then dialed the ND filter to various settings to see what the results would be. I knew that some would be extremely underexposed, but I mainly was looking for distortion and color changes, etc.I would not use this for anything serious, but it will be fun to play around with.

Professional overview of lens. Sits in sturdy plastic compact case. Upon inspection, lens, clean and sturdy. Easy to connect to my Nikon lens. After a few quick shots, I'm pleased. Will have fun with this lens. Lens cloth good size, not a strip of cloth. Supplier very conscientious, pleasant and helpful too. Arrived on time, supplier followed up. Professional shipping packaging.

I should start off by saying this is my first sliding ND filter so I have nothing to compare it to. However, it does what it should do. For the price, I think it's a steal. I noticed some tinting of the image or discoloration when setting it as dark as it can go but if I moved it a hairline it was fine so overall I'd say this is a good ND filter. Atleast for beginners.

Works well, just has a lot of flare if you are shooting outside. Would recommend you have a setup with rails and matte box.

The K+F Concept 52mm slim Variable Fader is a great item to have for a few reasons, but its primary function is to remove shadowing/reflections off of water and other non-metallic objects. I was really impressed with its functionality and just how well it attached, and I was equally impressed by the design and easily it could be used. Like other filters, this threads on, and you can easily turn to adjust it to meet your needs. The filter is also stackable, so you can place other filters or a cap on top of it, which is great for added effects and for preventing scratches. Speaking of scratches, using filters also helps with keeping your lens safe, so using this not only adds a nice effect but can also keep random items from contact what is normally a high-priced item.I wanted to note the packaging as well and give props to the company because they created something that keeps your item safe with both hard plastic AND soft foam. This is probably the best packaging I have EVER seen with a filter and it made me really happy to see it.Please note this was supplied for sampling purposes and has been used multiple times before reviewing. As with any filter, play with it before going for your desired shots to make sure you have it down perfectly; that was a lesson I learned a while back and the learning curve was sadly steep.

Upon first using this item to be honest I hated it... However, I think that it was user error as opposed to product issues. I am a beginning picture taker, and feel that it contributed to my beginning issues. Now that I am a little more advanced, I feel that I can give a fair review.. on the lightest settings it is an awesome alternative to more expensive pieces of glass. HOWEVER no matter how much I practice with the darker settings, things never seem to be right. there is either a very obvious line across the middle that makes one side of the picture dark and the other over processed, again this could be due to beginner error but I feel that it may be reflective upon the piece as I have borrowed a friends higher quality fader and did not have this issue. I have to admit that this item is still on my go to lens currently, but I refuse to us it any darker than the lightest setting as I don't want to ruin any more photos.
