This is a fun little gadget for macro photography. It basically turns your lens into a microscope. It takes a little practice to get the focus correct, and hand holding the camera probably isn't the best way to use this, but it can be done if you are real steady. It's great to experiment with to see what you can come up with. You can fill the frame with a mint mark on a coin and see every scrape and blemish in the coin. I'm impressed. This one comes with a mount protector ring for the exposed camera mount when the lens is reversed, but it isn't needed if you don't want to put it on. The thread ring that attaches the reversed lens to the camera is sold by itself if you want to save money.

Fantastic item, well made works as described. yes you lose control over aperture but this lens still produces fantastic images.cheaper than a lens and just as good in a lot of cases.

Works great to mount my 28-105mm lens in reverse on my Canon T4i. You need to slide the little silver metal "knob" to remove the lens. Took me a while to figure that out as there are no instructions with the rings.

I was really into taking pictures of animals and little things. So for that reason I bought my Canon EOS, the very first thing I did was take a picture of an anthill. The picture didn't come out meeting my expectations. I asked around and did some research and came across the concept of "macro photography" and I was deeply intrigued. So I did some more research and decided to buy a reverse adapter ring. I was very suspicious of the results but I was astonished with the results. The results far exceeded my expectations. The photos that were unclear were now clearer than day. Now i can take photos of ants, spiders, leafs, and much more perfectly with this macro reverse adapter. If you are interested in macro photography, in my opinion, this is a must have for beginners.
